Heart to Heart
Join us Heart to Heart as we gather to grow our spiritual life and our spiritual community—Emmanuel. Friends and members will have an opportunity for Connection, Conversation, and Commitment.
• Connection
Sunday, September 13, is our big Homecoming—Home is Where the Heart Is—service to kick off the church year and a three year program of re-commitment. There is only one service at 10:30 a.m. Sunday School will also be starting up and will feature a special Kite project for children to begin working on for kites that will be flown at the Ice Cream Social on September 27.
After the service, there will be an exciting and deepening HEART to HEART fellowship time. The Pie Lady (KatesPieShop.com) will be at Emmanuel serving delicious pies.
• Conversation
Small gatherings hosted in homes and at church to share, contemplatively consider, and respond to our HEART to HEART Program. Personal booklets will be distributed to help guide us in this re-commitment program.

To choose your date, sign-up sheets will be available at church, or you may call the church office, 815-963-4815, during normal business hours, or send an email.
† Child care will be available when the Conversation Gathering is held at Emmanuel.
• Commitment
The program will all culminate in the HEART to HEART Festival that will take place on Commitment Sunday, October 25 at 11:30 a.m., celebrating our Homecoming and Conversation Gatherings as a community with a catered dinner, special music and entertainment, and opportunities to commit to and support our spiritual home—Emmanuel.
