The lights of Emmanuel are lowered as each of Jesus' Seven Last Words are read, and the last reading ends with the Sanctuary in complete darkness.

Saturday, March 26th – Holy Saturday
7:00 p.m.:“Die BEFORE you Die”
led by Jim Roberts
Jesus' journey involves letting go of the fear of transformation, change, and death, even embracing death as a doorway to our true being. We will welcome death (like Rumi's Guesthouse welcomes everything) as we sing and chant our way to the tomb... letting the Earth Gong and the Tibetan bowls bring us down into that sacred place of deep listening. Then we will breathe, sing, and spiral our way up out of the tomb less weighed down with other's stories and expectations, and ready to “unfold our own myth.” We can then bring our own indigenous gifts to our people/world. If you prefer, bring a cushion, mat, or blanket on which to sit or lie down.

All welcome, no charge. Donations to the church.
