Foxgrover and Botts Concert

Tone on Tone, a concert combining the visual art of calligrapher Timothy Botts with organ music masterfully played by Marsha Foxgrover, will be presented at Emmanuel Lutheran Church on Sunday, March 1, 2015, at 3:00 p.m. In his exceptionally creative manner, Mr. Botts unfolds text related to the music being performed. In this concert Marsha Foxgrover will perform on the church's three manual Moller organ. This concert's collaboration will include Beside Still Waters, a setting of Psalm 23 by Dan Locklair, The Red Dragonfly, an original work by Guy Bovet based on a Japanese folk-song, and a Spiritual Pair: Swing Low, Sweet Chariot and Go Tell It On the Mountain.
Additionally, Ms. Foxgrover will perform solo works by Bach, Buxtehude, Delamarter, Saint-Saens, Simmons, and Utterback.

Internationally known artist and calligrapher Timothy Botts has published many outstanding books featuring calligraphy of scripture and hymn texts.

Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door, and $10 for seniors and students. To buy tickets in advance for Tone on Tone, the Foxgrover and Botts Concert, call the church office (815-963-4815) during normal business hours to pay by cash or check, or click the Add to Cart button below to be taken to PayPal's secure website to pay by PayPal or credit card or go to our website to purchase tickets by PayPal or credit card online. Tickets purchased in advance are on will-call the afternoon of the concert.
